Introduction

This document walks you through disabling compressed graphics (also known as .art files) in AOL version 7 for Windows.  You should only do this if you are saving images for use on your eMerchantClub Web site, and they save as .art files instead of the required .jpg or .gif files.

Instructions

Click on “Settings” and select “Preferences.”  The Preferences dialog window appears.

Click “Internet Properties (WWW)”.  The AOL Internet Properties dialog window appears.

Click the Web Graphics tab.

Make sure the option “Never compress graphics” is selected.

Click the OK button to close the AOL Internet Properties window
