Clear Cache in Internet Explorer 6 - Windows

Introduction

This article walks you through the steps to clear the cache from Internet Explorer 6 for Windows.

NOTE: Certain versions of Internet Explorer provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) or Search Engine Portals (such as Yahoo) have a different menu configuration than the standard version. If you have one of these versions, contact your ISP for instructions on how to delete your temporary internet files.

Instructions

Click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.

The Internet Options dialog window will appear.

Click the    button.

A prompt will ask if you wish to Delete all of the cookies.  Click the  button.

Next, click the  button.  A prompt will ask about deleting the files.  check () the   checkbox, and then click .

Click  at the bottom of the Internet Options window.

Restart the computer.
