How to Manage Affiliate Commissions

Introduction

This article helps you learn how to manage commissions earned by affiliates on your site.  This article also assumes you have affiliates who have signed up on your web site and are earning commissions.  (Learn more here)

Instructions

Step 1:  Open affiliate account

First, click the  link under the Marketing column in Site Manager.

Next, click the  link.

Click on the e-mail address of the affiliate whose account you wish to modify.

Set Payout Threshold

Payout Threshold sets a commission amount you wish to pay out to your affiliates, so you are not constantly writing $0.32 and $1.18 checks.  When the affiliate earns the specified commission amount, the web site will notify you so that you can pay that commission.

This page also shows the amount of commission earned by your affiliate, and how much commission you currently owe the affiliate.

Pay Commissions

Click the  link to pay commission to the affiliate.

Enter the amount of commission being paid to the affiliate in the Amount Paid box.  Fill out the rest of the fields with appropriate information, and then click the  button.

The commissions paid appear under Payout Details.

The Commission owed amount is automatically updated when payments are made.

Note:  Commission earned never goes down when payments are made, as this shows the total commission the affiliate has earned.
