Introduction

This article helps you learn how to delete a Parent Department.

Parent Departments contain Child Departments, and do not contain products.

To delete a Parent Department, it must have no Child Departments in it.

Instructions

Enter your Site Manager.

Click the Departments link.

Find the Parent department you wish to remove.  Either use the Search feature, or the left- and right-arrows to find the page your department is listed on.

Click the  button next to the Parent Department you wish to remove.

If the department contains Child Departments, you will not be able to delete it.  A warning will appear instructing you to reassign the Child Departments to other Parent Departments, or to delete the Child Departments first.

If the department does not contain Child Departments, you will have an option to delete the Parent Department.  Click the  button to finish removing it.
