Introduction

This article helps you learn how to create a Shipping Promotion, to give your customers a discount off of their shipping for certain orders.

A Shipping Promotion will allow your customer to receive a dollars off or percentage off discount under circumstances you specify.

Note:  Combining this discount with Price Quote/Label, Coupon Promotions, Price Promotions, and other discounts may discount the product to a lower price than you plan on.  Use this feature with caution, and run a test purchase to make sure it performs the way you expect.

Instructions

Step 1:  Create a new shipping promotion

On the Site Manager main menu, click the Promotions link.

Next, click the Shipping Promotions link.

Next, click on the Add Shipping Promotion button.

Step 2:  Configure the promotion

Enter a fitting name for the promotion.  (e.g., Free Christmas Shipping)

Your customers can see the name and description when they click on your Promos link, so provide a explanatory description.

The Status must be ON for your customers to see and use this promotion, and OFF if you do not want them to see and use it.

The Start date and End date determine the dates that the promotion is available.

The Buy field determines how much your customer must spend in order to receive this promotion.

The Get field determines how much of a discount to give your customers.  You can give a discount in dollars or percentages.

Click the  button to save the promotion.

Results

When completed, your customers will see the promotion on your site when they click the Promos link.  It should appear similar to this.

The promotion will look similar to this example in your site manager.
